Finished up season 1 of The Punisher. 11/10. Bernhall is amazing in this. Actually reminded me of bad ass DeNiro at times.
Can't wait to see what happens with Jigsaw in season 2.

Black Mirror Just finished up the new season of Black Mirror, and god damn this show just continues to deliver. I still think San Junipero is the best episode they have ever made, but this season continues to present why we praise the show so much. All the twists and turns that the episodes took in this season were far more shocking than a lot of episodes in previous seasons. Still, Black Mirror continues to be one of my all time favorite shows on Netflix, and I hope it continues this strike of genius for seasons to come. If you've not see the show at all, get on it, you're missing out big time. |

Kiiii just finished episode 1 of season 4. Killer and flat out fun. Probably the most fun episode so far. Breaking Bad's Todd was great as a quasi James T. Kirk.

im 4 deep and episode 1 definitely stands out as the best so far. if i was to rank them in order it would be
ep 1 > ep 4 > ep 2 > ep 3 i liked the idea behind 3 but the execution was a little wonky

Binge watched Dark yesterday.
I understant why many people say this is "like Stranger things, but european" or sth along those lines, but in reality ..it's not. It's more like a scandinavian crime story, with long shots of nature, characters not talking to each other, somber music, rain etc.. with (not really a spoiler) time travel thrown in. Maybe it's me, I grew up in a town very similar to Winden - roughly 120km from where they filmed it, in a town surrounded by identical forests and with a huge power plant (not nuclear but coal) looming over it. Anyway, Dark. It's dark, it's surprising, it's pretty slow paced but man, is it fascinating. I have some issues with the series but they're minor, generally a strong 8+/10, looking forward to the 2nd season (should be out in december, from what I read). |
