Glow

A new Netflix comedy about a group of struggling actresses in the 1980's who join up for an all-female wrestling league called the "Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling". Its got some good lines, some intriguing characters, and Alison Brie gets her tits out.

Is that Marc Maron? Also, Alison Brie looks so gaunt; did they make her lose weight for the role or something?

It is, and he absolutely nails the role of a sleezy '80's Hollywood director. As to Alison Brie's physique, yeah I thought she looked a little gaunt too, although it could just be that I've only ever seen her in Community where she never really wore tight clothing so I never noticed it. I'm only 2 episodes in so maybe we'll learn later on in the series that she's on the patented '80's cocaine diet.

Been watching Glow. Pretty good so far, reminds me a little of OITNB with a diverse funny cast of females. Wasn't expecting much before watching. Would definitely recommend.

Oh I bet he would; that seems like the perfect role for him. (I remember watching the first five or so episodes of his other, older show on netflix and although I liked it, it seemed a bit hit or miss) Yeah, I've only seen her in Mad Men and Community as well so I suppose it's just strange seeing her look so wiry and gaunt in comparison, is all. It's mostly in the face, I think.

Personally, I want a netflix show about luchadores. That would be amazing I think.

Show was decent. I loved the wrestlers cameo's. I wish they wouldn't have made the producer/money guy a trust fund baby. The guy was a crook but not a trust fund baby. Ultimately they just used GLOW as the setting for a TV series and had no interest in telling the actual story. Which is fine I guess.

I also think it's hilarious that they hired Chavo Guerrero to choreograph the wrestling parts but gave the part that portrayed his uncle to John Morrison.

I guess this is the only chance you'll ever get to be a whiny nerd about an inauthentic wrestling adaptation so I will refrain from mocking you.
