Wow, I could not disagree with you more on that one. I actually had to read your post twice to see if you were being sarcastic and given you elaborated on your initial statement, it doesn't seem theres any sarcasm there.

djchameleon 09-04-2013 07:18 PM

The same can't be said for Dexter. I haven't been watching Breaking Bad's final season but Dexter's final season has been like a non-stop roller coaster. I'm loving it and it's getting ready to ramp up even more with the final 3 episodes coming out soon.

I just got all caught up today.

Dare I say this is the best season ever! It even tops Season 4 with the Trinity Killer.

Really? I'm not saying its been bad at all, there's definitely been some great nail biting moments. It's just been slow going, for me at least.

Mojo 09-05-2013 04:25 AM

Well I don't do spoilers, but that first episode crammed pretty much everything into it that I was expecting to be gradually unfolded over all eight episodes! Theres always been a bit of a cliffhanger at the end of each episode since, to get me itching for the next one.

Frownland 09-05-2013 06:16 AM

I don't think that the new Breaking Bad episodes have been slow either. The parts that some would call slow are racked up with enough tension for me to think otherwise.

Yesterday I watched the first installment of this miniseries:
http://currentconcepts.files.wordpre.../01/carlos.jpg

Wow, this ****'s incredible. I wasn't disappointed with any elements of the film, be it acting, historical accuracy (well, I took the film's word for it. It definitely did seem correct, though), and an exciting plot that isn't always too in your face with action, but there is still quite a bit of violence to be had. I'd highly recommend this one, I always end up kicking myself for letting recommendations like this slip.

The Batlord 09-07-2013 09:37 AM

I watched about fifty episodes of Futurama the other day and have come to the conclusion that it is better than The Simpsons ever was. I'm not taking anything away from The Simpsons, but Futurama is that great. Not only is it surprisingly intelligent and witty, but it's one of the best sci-fi shows of all time. Seriously, how many sci-fi shows are there that are that off-the-wall and creative?

Freebase Dali 09-09-2013 09:15 PM

Boardwalk Empire is back on!!!!
Watching the first episode of season 4 now. Get up on dat.

Sansa Stark 09-09-2013 09:27 PM

Psychedub Dude 09-10-2013 03:28 PM

HOLYSHEEET the last ep of Breaking Bad was insane, **** just got real.

djchameleon 09-10-2013 05:18 PM

has anyone seen AxeCop? man I love this show. I have only caught a few episodes here and there that I randomly recorded but I'd love to watch more of them.

It reminds me of Venture Bros a bit.

I'm only 5 episodes in but this has been fantastic so far. Absolutely loving the dark humour in this.

Finished up the first season. Getting a bit too dramatic for my liking but it's still good. There seems to be at least a couple hilarious moments an episode as well.

I've been watching re-runs of Da Vinci's Inquest

Just watched "Sleepy Hollow" premiere last night. I thought it was interesting and I look forward to seeing where it will go :)

Psychedub Dude 09-17-2013 12:15 PM

Holy sheet I take back what I said about this season of Breaking Bad being slow going early on, it was consistently buidling up so much tension and then in the last two episodes that tension just snapped holy holy sheet man. This show is gonna go down as the greatest in history.

LoathsomePete 09-17-2013 12:35 PM

I finally started watching Breaking Bad last night and I think I'm going to try and finish the first season tonight. I do kind of wish I had gotten into the show earlier because it seems EVERYONE is talking about this final season and it would be nice to be a part of the larger conversation.

I was watching that on the plane ride home and I know I have it dvr'ed I might watch the rest of the episode tonight. I was really into it so far with what I saw. I try not to get too attached with shows that are on Fox though.

Same but I'm slowly going through the episodes. It seems like I'm forcing myself to watch it just to be part of conversations that are going on about it. I actually met up with someone that does lighting for the show and after they wrapped. They gave him some of the fake meth from the show.

I didn't even realize that had premiered. Does it actually look good or just interesting? From the previews it just looked awful. The Headless Horseman and Ichabod Crane in the present day? Lame.

I'm gonna be playing Mass Effect for the next couple weeks and can't be bothered to do anything else unless the house is on fire or Scarlett Johansson shows up with a box of condoms and anal lube. But tell me if it's any good.

I have it on my dvr. I just need to finish up the episode. I paused it so I could get some sleep because I felt like I was coughing up a lung.

It's good so far but I need to see the end to see how they are going to stretch the plot over a season.

Finally caught up watching every season of Mad Men, which I've been wanting to do for a long time. Truly an amazing series and superbly acted, although I think it took a significant nosedive in seasons 5 and 6. I'm totally addicted, though, and hoping for a better season 7.

On Breaking Bad

Spoiler for breaking bad spoilers:

Meth Damon is the creepiest character I've ever seen UGH and how he just smiled when Jesse was talking about him shooting the kid??? UGH and the ice cream thing and when he rubbed up on Skyler, gross gross gross

****ing Lydia, how dare she come for my girl like that. I really have a strong feeling Skyler is going to give her up. Or maybe Lydia gets ricined bc they keep making noise about her stevia thing. I really wanna know who gets it.

I hate Walt but goddamn those Grey Matter smug cxnts

Jesse my baby why are these writers torturing meeee

I miss Gus,he would have ****ing decimated those Nazi twats

Here is a preview of the upcoming season of Sleepy Hollow.

I'm kind of pumped for it.

well scratch that I couldn't find it :(

Here is the trailer for it but it's pretty much clips of the pilot episode only it gets way more intense in the season preview video that I couldn't find.

I love that the horseman upgraded to guns near the end of the episode from his heated axe thing.

Did anyone else watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D? Better yet was anyone else really underwhelmed by it?

Frownland 09-26-2013 10:31 AM

I have a theory on how Breaking Bad will end, I'll keep the spoilers down to a minimum by guessing Walt's end. I think he'll attempt to clear his name, but unsuccessfully so. Some ****'s going to go down, as is to be expected. He then will start another life as Hal and start a family with a woman named Lois.

What were you expecting out of it?

I'm fine with the direction that it's heading in so far. I'm sure it's a slowburn like most of Joss Whedon's projects.

LoathsomePete 09-26-2013 12:48 PM

Some decent dialogue for start. I get that snarky cutesey-poo dialogue is kind of a staple with Joss Whedon but it was just off the fucking charts and I really could not care if any of the characters introduced died. I mean it could have been a lot worse and that it's a pilot which are never indicative of the quality of the entire season but still, I had high hopes (perhaps too high) and this episode failed to live up to them.

Freebase Dali 09-26-2013 08:27 PM

Just started watching BBC's Peaky Blinders.
It's great. I am recommend.

Great British Bake Off

Really good programme. Probably second only to Masterchef when it comes to British food shows, in my opinion. And this lovely lady doesn't do it any harm...

The only characters that I really didn't like was the banter between the two tech nerds. I don't know if they were brother/sister or what but good god they were highly annoying. Everyone else was fine imo.

I also like the nod at the end of the pilot. I won't spoil it for others that haven't seen but that was pretty cool and I'm looking for other little nods to the comics popping up throughout the season.

Good Grief another show that the US had to make an american version of. I saw the American Bake Off during the summer I was like the f is this show and I immediately changed the channel because Jeff Foxworthy was hosting it.

I know what you mean. Like DJ said, I'm not too worried since I thought the same thing about Dollhouse at first and then got won over. Though I have to wonder if the whole "Whedon-speak" thing is just a cliche that he feels he has to live up to at this point. How many times can the guy write the same dialogue after all?

I see it more as a staple than a cliche just like you can tell whenever Taratino is involved in writing a script because of those lengthy dialogues he tends to have.

I love it regardless, but you know that any show Whedon makes that doesn't use "Whedon-speak" on is going to be cast down into a fiery abyss by his fans. So I don't think he could stop using it even if he wanted to. Not saying he does, but I can't help wondering.

Yes it was fun. Looking forward to Whedon. We just finished a rewatch of Buffy and still working on Angel. Did you notice that the guy that played Gunn showed up in this one? I thought that was kind of cool.

I missed that. I was too busy thinking about what a **** actor he was. I know this isn't the Sopranos, but that performance was awful.
