I started watching it yesterday too! And I'm also a fan of Andrew Lincoln...just maybe for slightly less pervy reasons.

Slightly.

If you're into 19th-century New York history, Irish immigrants, brothels, brass knuckles, knives, and the politics of the Civil War-era -- you'll like this.

I've heard some good things about this show and I'm definitely interested in NYC history after reading a book that involved it earlier this year, and it's on Netflix so I'm sold.

Goofle 06-19-2013 12:32 PM

The new series of Arrested Development is great so far after three episodes.

That scene with Michael and voting is epic.

CrazyVegn 06-19-2013 05:23 PM

It'll be interesting to see what you make of the season as a whole, once you have had time to digest what happens, and the way it ends. I may have one or two concerns, but generally after watching it twice now I think it's brilliant. I'm surprised there are any AD fans who don't.

Hahahaha. I love him in general, he's great in Love Actually (one of my favourite movies of all time) and I watched a bit of Teachers and he was good in that. Weird to hear him speak with an American accent tho

Yeah I marathoned Copper and it was really great, I like BBC shows in general most of the time and I saw it on BBC America for previews so I thought I'd give it a chance as well. It's really well done and I love the storylines, and Franka Potente is an awesome madam in it.

Mojo 06-23-2013 08:57 AM

Thats exactly what I said when I first started watching The Walking Dead. His American accent takes some getting used to. I didn't like Love, Actually but I do like Teachers and he was great in that.

I already finished watching Walking Dead.

Sansa Stark 06-23-2013 09:02 AM

Haha I haven't yet but I had to restart it, I really like it so far. You should try Hannibal next, Neil. I think you would really love it.

Sansa Stark 06-23-2013 09:26 AM

Actually I wonder if we can get it on youtube, we could play it in the safe space and watch it with Meg and Steph, that would be fun

tbh no, I haven't. I only watched one or two episodes but I need to start from the beginning. I thought they had them on demand but it's only like the last four most recent episodes so I have to look them up online.

Oops didn't see this post!

yeah that'd be a good idea since I need to start from jump.

Blarobbarg 06-23-2013 02:16 PM

I need good television that I can watch in full on the internet... Youtube is fine, anything without viruses is fine. No Netflix, it doesn't work in Nicaragua.

Mojo 06-23-2013 02:24 PM

Just use a proxy and Netflix. Thats what I'd do.

CerialKillah 06-23-2013 02:26 PM

Breaking Bad
The Walking Dead
Bates Motel
Touch
The Mentalist (honestly I hate crime drama's but Simon Baker is ****ing hot and I wanna see him get his revenge.)

Ewe, you must nitpick everything I say, tho...

Sansa Stark 07-10-2013 12:26 AM

Mags, don't be rude :) He's not really helping anyone on his show anyway

Either way I've lately been watching This Is England '86 with some non-plebes from here and I love it just as much as the first time I've seen it.

CrazyVegn 07-10-2013 12:28 AM

Yes, he is and I'm not being rude. . . ;-(

Sansa Stark 07-10-2013 12:30 AM

He's not really nitpicking you though, he's teasing, not with malice tho

he means no harm

CrazyVegn 07-10-2013 12:31 AM

Darn, no malice? Boring.

Sansa Stark 07-10-2013 12:33 AM

Hahaha, I'm afraid not :)

Totally. Dr. Phil is a pimple on the ass of pop culture making money off of the pain of others and pretending that forty-five minutes of McTherapy can somehow fix child molestation/drug addiction/domestic violence/etc, and all while implying that he is a doctor.

Honorable mention goes to Doctor Oz though. He's actually a doctor, but instead of using his knowledge of medicine to help people he preys on the insecurities of women to sell them cheap weight-loss snake oil.
