Whenever I see my quote in Ori's sig I always feel like for a shining second I had realized the secret of life, but now it's simply too big for me to wrap my head around.

I don't know if you remember, but that was from the day that you got really drunk in plug and then left to go ride your bike in search of cigarettes. We all tried to talk you out of it 'cause we thought you were gonna get hit by a car, but you were like "Nah bros, it's cool, I got this."

I think it's fair to say that I don't remember any of this, but somewhere from deep within my Drunk Soul I hear Baltord saying, "I got 'em, bro."

It is currently the best "space" sf series going on. And to be honest, unless they mess it up, it might be one of the better space sf series, period.

Oooo even better than Dark Matter?

I still haven't given Expanse a chance. Seemed like a slow start in the pilot but I'm definitely going to go back and give it another attempt.

It's imo a lot better than Dark Matter. I enjoy DM a lot, but it has this.. well, cheesy Stargate feel which shouldn't be a surprise as it's created by the same guys. And for the record, I've seen all stargate movies and tv series at least 3 times, so I know a thing or two about nostalgia.. but here, it loses the fight. Dark Matter honestly feels like a guilty pleasure when compared to the Expanse, at least in the context of serious sf.
The Expanse has a big budget feel. And it is much more grounded in reality.
Politics, human rights, genocide, "greater good", racism and many other isms, it's all there, shaping the world of the Expanse. And the world, thanks to that, is .. well, real.
I can't find the words to describe this to be honest, you'll have to see it and judge for yourself.

DS9 is slowly becoming my favorite Star Trek series.
