This is actually the perfect description of it. It's just something really peaceful to watch while watching everything unfold. It's also got really well thought out character progression. You come to really love each and every character you meet. It almost makes it feel like every character is a lead character. Plus, the writing is stellar.

I'm happy to see you like this show Trist. I don't think I knew that. But I love it.

It's got Melissa McCarthey. I'm in.

I think you'll appreciate the show, Chula. I've gone through 3.5 seasons in a little under a week. Keep in mind I've seen the whole series before, but it's good enough to go through again.

Also, the writing is filled with rapid-fire pop-culture references (obscure ones, even) so when you re-watch, you'll often notice some little thing that you hadn't noticed before. And it's always delightfully funny.

This article summarizes it nicely:
Ode to Gilmore Girls: Behind the Musicality of TV's Beloved Show

And, though it's already been stated: It's comforting. Truly the ideal thing to watch if you're horribly stressed in real life on a fairly regularl basis. (..Considering that, I should probably re-watch it, too. )

This is a big thing I've noticed on my second way through. I'm finding i'm laughing a lot more at jokes that I missed the first time. The dialogue is so quick and witty that it's hard to pick up on them the first time. But the second time through is vastly different and far more satisfying. Not to say that the first time isn't satisfying. It's truly a well done show.

I'm in. Let's move on. :thumb:

My review will follow. I'm leaning on ya'll pretty heavily here. Hope you don't let me down....

I hope you like it, Chula. Sincerely.

Not worth it even with your love for McCarthy. I would skip this if I were you.

Arrghh. I'm now torn. DJ holds some pretty strong influence over me here.....

Everytime I scanned passed it during its prime it just seemed like another chick flick 30 minute sitcom.
