Agreed. I get what they were going for. Big powerful business man, from the button down big city world ultimately has complete nervous breakdown comes to realize his answers lie where he happens to be at - the retreat.

It was almost unbearably charming. "We're Werewolves, not Swear-Wolves!"

I see why they left it kind of open-ended. In the Mad Men universe I don't believe Don would have ever truly changed; he'd have just gone through another phase/false epiphany over and over until he fully dealt with his past, even if that meant having a brutal nervous breakdown (one which a meditation retreat could not fix). I would have liked it to end with him leaving everything-- after being with Betty of course-- and embracing his old identity as Dick Whitman. Because Don was essentially just an empty vessel. I wouldn't have minded him dying abruptly, either.
I loved Joan's ending.

Speaking of MM, has everyone seen the movie "The One I Love", with Elisabeth Moss. One of the most unique and quirky low budget flicks I've ever seen.

YES! I don't remember the entire ending but it was definitely an interesting, hypnotic movie.

Edit: A shame that Moss is a scientologist.

It's one of those that's a really great second watch even though you know "what's going on". Well, kinda know.....

EDIT: Oh ****. I hate finding that out about someone I really like and whose work I admire.

After watching it over a year ago I remember just sitting there contemplating it for about an hour because of the whole theme/commentary on
Spoiler for .:
people falling in love with idealized versions of their significant others, and even preferring that in a sense at times. And doppelgänger themes are always great fun.

I hope it's still on netflix.

Elizabeth Moss was also incredible in The Magdalene Sisters. She really has quite an alluring screen presence.
Edit: Disregard the above; she wasn't in that I don't think, apparently I'm imagining things.

Well, the conversation just went towards "what's the best vampire" and I kind of ran with it, but yeah, I forgot this was the TV section. Hammer a stake through my heart. If you can find it.
