There's only 4 of HoC right now, but there's more than that of BB. Right? Am I drunk?

EDIT: Maybe I watched 3 seasons of BB. ****ed if I know.

I'm retarded. Nevermind.

I still have yet to watch it.

I'm in the same boat.

I've started it up numerous times but getting through that first season is rough.

Well, I don't tend to stick with shows that feature anti-heroes, not because they're poorly written, but because I just don't get invested in what happens to the characters. If someone's a dick I eventually realize "I can't relate to you and I don't really care what happens to you", and then I dump the show for something else. I've dumped quite a few critically-acclaimed shows because I just wasn't invested. That's not TV's fault, but of what remains that I have seen through to the end, almost every series has crumbled over time because the showrunners are in it for more episodes and not for writing a great story.

Okay I get you. That makes perfect sense then.

I'm on the other spectrum where I love a good *******. I just discovered "You're the Worst" and I felt like they are my kindred spirits. If I could hang out with those characters on a daily basis I would.

They are actually *******s with like a heart of gold hidden somewhere deep down. So I can definitely relate.

I'll take an ******* with a heart of gold. I'm a sucker for hearts of gold. But people who are just straight up dicks, no, I can't relate to that in any sort of meaningful way.

And you say this is a common problem for you? I see the former a lot more than the latter (then again I don't keep on top of TV like some do).

Claire from House Of Cards is stunning the second time around. Don't know why I passed her off as bland and forgettable, she is so ****ing ruthless, at times more than Francis. And it's scary because she actually shows a lot more compassion for the people she screws. And Doug is exceptional, especially at the start of Season 3. You almost feel sorry for him, him being loyal to Frank and being treated, in my opinion, pretty unfairly. And his resilience baffles me. He doesn't like to appear weak at all, and the first few episodes show us his toughness. I can't tell who is more cold and ruthless in the show, but I love how they're all portrayed.

The relatability issue and the "TV jumping the shark" problem are separate issues in my experience of TV.
