I was just reading about that. $100m in the first season is a bit much. I don't mind the overdone plots either. It's interesting to see the mix of reality and the writers' interpretation of that part of the industry.
On another note, I had no freakin idea that was Andrew Dice Clay. Wow.

Dead Set On the first installment, it's promising enough as solid zombie entertainment. It's a bit cliched and their lower budget shows through their bad zombie effects, where they just flash everything too fast for you to critique its quality while still maintaining the exciting parts of the attack or whatever. It's got an interesting enough premise and a good amount of humour to make up for that though.

Check out Black Mirror (TV Series 2011 if you liked that. Also written by Charlie Brooker.
Also Dead Set has one of the funniest moments on any show when the guy shouts "I'm normal! I'm a normal person!".

I'm about halfway through both The Sopranos and Sons of Anarchy. Watching them side by side like this really highlights how much better of a show The Sopranos is, but I'm still enjoying SoA as well.

SoA is great, especially initially. The music is amazing, characters are memorable, acting is good ...
Unfortunately at some point you will realize, this.. this is no longer fun. Because every problem solved, gives birth to 2 more. Every situation diffused, escalates 2 others etc. It gets tiresome. But the music! |
