I still followed it to the end of the season where it began to pick up. I don't mind tv shows straying from their source material. They are operating in two different mediums so they need room to stretch and express themselves. I was never the type of fan to hate a movie because it wasn't like the book or they left things out that were in the book. OF COURSE they left things out that were in the book. They would end up with a five hour movie if that was the case.

Finally decided to watch the Sopranos. Midway through season one and really digging it.

I gave up on that series part way through season 3. I think the only reason season 1 was good was probably because it was ripoff of Watchmen. After that the writers were forced to carry their own weight, and they just couldn't.
