Shame on you. I loved both of them. I was really pissed when they cancelled Constantine. Lucifer was a bit slow at times but I'm glad that they saw enough potential in it to give it a second season.

i was totally hyped for the constantine tv series, and i enjoyed the first few episodes or so, but after that i wasn't really into it. it's definitely way better than what the 2005 movie was, but it felt restricted. for what the hellblazer comic series offered, i don't think nbc was the right place for a tv series based off its main character.
i thought the lucifer tv series was decent for the most part, but it was like a completely different story than the comics. for a lot of the episodes, i just wasn't involved in them 'til the end, which was usually a cliffhanger for the next episode. i'll probably end up watching the second season, but going into it Spoiler for s1 finale:
neither are terrible by any means. they're just lackluster to me because i expected more from them considering the source material. with preacher on amc, i don't think it'll be too restricted, and the plot is already straying from the comics, but the first episode was fun

Definitely agree on Constantine. It just kinda feels like a 2nd-rate X-Files.

I don't think anyone that's been around the internet for a while should have any problems working around that or finding the content they want. No, I won't post links.
What I absolutely despise though are these pointless and quite frankly often offensive region locks of all kinds. I can understand them in some cases, not all are pointless... just the vast majority. |
