Excellent show: great writing, great cast, dark humor that was actually funny, and excellent characters with lots of room for development. Rumor is that a network exec at the time simply didn't like the show and killed it/didn't renew it. Not sure if that's true, but it is a shame that so much potential was simply left on the table.

There's a movie too from 2009, I think.
Not the best movie. And Daisy is played by another actress.

But still a fantastic serie.

And Mandy Patinkin, the guy who played Rube, was also not in the movie. He was the linchpin of the series, so his and some of the other important characters' absences make the movie more of an afterthought to the show, unfortunately.

Been too cheap to pay for a subscription, even though I've been thinking about renewing. Really, music is the 500 lb. gorilla in the room that's been eating all my other hobbies for breakfast. The reason I was able to talk about Dead Like Me is because it's over a decade old.

To be sure, I'm committed to renewing my Netflix sub whenever I stop being cheap.

Oh, ok. I hope you can afford to buy it soon. It's great.

I've been watching Arrow. Why are DC tv shows so much better than Marvel TV shows, yet Marvel movies are better than DC movies?

I've also been slowly getting into the A-Team.
I imagine because DC has been trying to make its comic universe "grim and gritty" and "mature" for the last few years, with very inconsistent results, but they aren't taking the hint and are trying to make the same thing work with their movies.

Whereas the company has a decades-long history with the DC Animated Universe of putting out high-quality TV shows that aren't self-consciously gritty.

That's my assumption at least.

I'm refusing to watch any new X Files until I have been through the original series, because God only knows at what point it was I stopped watching it. That's gonna take a while! I'm at the end of season 3 and it feels as though I've been watching for an age now.
