The Last Ship
The Last Ship (TV Series 2014 "The crew of a naval destroyer is forced to confront the reality of a new existence when a pandemic kills off most of the earth's population." I've no idea how I missed this... Anyway, I'm after 4 episodes and so far So far it seems it could be fun, even though it is produced by Michael Bay (yeah...) and even though it is oh so patriotic and god fearing.... Anyway, what I wanted to ask: am I in for a disappointment ? I heard it gets significantly dumber as it goes along and that would be a problem because at this point it's already pretty dumb. Still, it's my kind of cheezy guilty pleasure, at least so far. |

Good thing I'm somewhere else then
What kind of hipsters are you ? I enjoyed all episodes of McGyver lately so excuse me if I enjoy a bit of cheesy war porn, eh ? Or are we too elitist to actually admit we can enjoy campy sh*t once in a while ? Granted that initially I was hoping this would be .. well, less dumb. But come on. Square jawed captain (reminds me of an older Duke Nukem), sweaty doctor with pointy nipples (Rhona Mitra is still hot <3 ), explosions, Evil Russian captain, crew praying all the time... it's so cliche it's super fun. Seriously, just as I enjoy some warhammer Space Marines fluff from time to time, I also enjoy this ... well, this silly old thing. So far at least. |
