Dark alley, somewhere in the city
A truck moves up, the Greek comes out. Agent Krycek is waiting for him, a green vial in his hand.
"Remember that old dope you used to sell ? Forget it. This.. is a game changer". They hiss the way only high level reptilian agents can, and shake hands with a secret reptilian handshake.
They look each other in the eyes, smile.
Next scene we see Bubbles slowly transforming into a 2 meter tall man eating fungus.

I don't think a crossover would be such a good idea... but then as blasphemous as it might sound, I don't consider the X Files to be a very good tv series, unlike The Wire.

Lately I've been watching garbage television. I have been enthralled with Vanderpump rules. Its like the Real World on steroids pumped in with the vainest *******s you will ever see. So its basically perfect television. Also Little Women LA is pretty engrossing. Sue me.

Maybe not a good realistic crossover, but a 30 minute sketch or something similar to the X-Files/ Simpsons crossover would be pretty funny.

As to the quality of the series... first season is pretty hit-or-miss and I do think the show lost a lot of its charm when it left Vancouver after season 5, but I think seasons 2-5 have a pretty decent good-to-crap ratio.

The X-files was a fantastic series. The setting of Vancouver was always perfect it set a nice bleak tone to the show. My favorite episode alltime was Artificial Intelligence however in the later seasons. X-files borders on dialogue heavy but I enjoy that aspect.

"Ghost in the Machine" was one of the better episodes from Season 1, but if I had to rate my top 5 episodes it would go:

1) "Humbug" season 2
2) "Jose Chungs from Outer Space" season 3
3) "Folie a Deux" season 5
4) "Unruhe" season 4
5) "Hungry" season 7 (the only one of the "gimmick" episodes from that season I cared for)

Funnily enough I just realized that Vince Gilligan wrote "Unruhe" and "Hungry", so that's pretty cool. I'll also say that I found the episodes written by Stephen King and William Gibson to be some of the weakest ones, "FPS" and "Killswitch" might have worked as movies or 2 hour episodes, but 45 minutes just wasn't enough to cut it, at least with "Killswitch".

I thought killswitch was engaging enough.

My list would read like most peoples in the general sense.

1. D.P.O.- Lightning Boy
2. Tooms
3. El Mundo Gira- Chupacabra episode
4. Lazarus
5. The Erlenmeyer Flask

All predictable responses but worthy choices

Broad City is really hitting its stride. This season's been hilarious.

I wouldn't say overly predictable, in fact I'd say my list is more likely to wind up on most people's "Best of..." at least with the inclusion of "Jose Chungs From Outerspace" and "Humbug". If I was going for my hipster list I'd lose those two and replace them with "The Host' and "Home", both episodes left me far more disturbed than any other, particularly "The Host" because I watched it just before a camping trip and refused to use the outhouse.
