It is one hell of a good show. Outer space Bob Dylan is my only gripe about it.

I've been watching many twilight zone episodes lately :)
I love all the crazy twists at the end..
Another show i started getting into again "Beyond belief: Fact or Fiction"

Yeah, with Riker from Star Trek: the Next Generation! I keep expecting Picard to walk in at the end through the holodeck doors and snap "You're needed on the bridge, Number One!"

My sister watches it all the time. I watched a few with her, but it always seems to me that the more unlikely the story is, the truer Riker says it is. Mind you, he has no proof, you have to just take his word. Needless to say, I almost always get them wrong.

He's a whole lot better than James Brolin though.

Still, most of the stories are pretty poor. Just as you think, something's about to happen now, it'll take off, it ends. And you're left thinking, what, that's it?

i always get them wrong and some of the stories that are "fact" seem way to exaggerated to be true lol

Yeah that one was bad. Not the worst though, which in itself shows you how bad some of them were...

Oh yeah I remember that one. It was AWFUL! Who writes these things?? And Riker expects us to believe they HAPPENED? Go chase a Borg Cube, Number One!

Trollheart 07-09-2012 05:13 PM

This is one of my favourite comedy shows, "2 broke girls". An American comedy that DOESN'T make you want to kill the stars, co-stars and writers? It's true...

This is one of the worst shows I've ever seen. You Brits are fucked in the head.

Stephen 07-09-2012 11:51 PM

Speaking of wanting to kill stars, writers, co stars... Body of Proof. I don't think there's a single character or plot line that hasn't pissed me off.

Don't you call me a Brit! I'm Irish, thank you very much! :nono:
Anyway, tell me a comedy YOU like, I'll probably tell you I hate it.
Eye of the beholder, man...

It is weird how nearly every time I hear a European say something like "An American comedy that DOESN'T make you want to kill the stars, co-stars and writers?" it's immediately followed by them talking up some middle-of-the-road crap like 2 Broke Girls, Two and a Half Men or Frasier.

Holy shit. I totally remember watching that episode when I was seven on the day that my family was moving to California. I remember it pretty vividly, for some reason. I think that's the only episode of that that I've seen and you happened to post it, odd...

I agree, from a comedy stand point, it's terrible. But the characters are strangely endearing. Not to mention, Kat Denning's knockers are enormous.

debaserr 07-10-2012 09:01 AM

Go ahead and shoot me if I ever watch a sitcom for huge knockers.

Big boobs make me happy and I don't care who knows it. I'm not really that huge a fan of Modern Family, but I still watch it for Sofia Vergara. :yeah:

The American popular sense of humour is agonizing to me.

I mean that's not really an opinion. It's corny, two-bit comedy that relies on the "quirky, alternative attractiveness" and huge breasts of the title character. It's trash. American comedies that are actually funny = Eastbound & Down, Louie, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, and It's Always Sunny.

Oh man Frasier is a decent show compared to two and a half women and 2 lame girls. John Mahoney has the Say Anything degrees of separation.

Good list, I'd add Seinfeld, Community, South Park and a few I can't think of now (though Sunny & South Park have really gone downhill the last few seasons).

Goofle 07-10-2012 11:23 AM

It is a good list and additions. I would add 30 Rock, but that show gets some hate on here.

debaserr 07-10-2012 11:25 AM

That's one that I forgot. It can annoy me sometimes, but it's definitely worth a watch.

NEWGUY562 07-10-2012 07:04 PM

well Seinfeld will always be my favorite show :) but lately I've been watching many pawn Star episodes as well.

Geekoid 07-10-2012 08:45 PM

Yeah, there was nothing of interest on TV yesterday and I flipped to Two Broke Girls. I had to keep channel surfing because of the poor acting. (This is, of course, my opinion, but it was obvious enough to everyone else in the room with me at the time).

From my perspective, Seinfeld is great. Probably the only sitcom I can watch every episode of, and the standard I hold all other sitcoms to. I find Frasier kinda boring, and 30 Rock stale (with bad acting)... I do like 3rd Rock From The Sun, though, which recently made a comeback. Good stuff.

I'm guessing most of you are too cool for "reality" competition shows. I'm currently following The Food Network Star and So You Think You Can Dance.

yes i've seen most of seinfeld and even watch re-runs and still havent gotten tired of it :) and wow i wish they did bring back 3rd rock from the son...john lithgow was a dick! lol

Geekoid 07-10-2012 10:03 PM

Well, it's on TVTropolis, which apparently is a Canadian station. Good move on their part, since Joseph Gordon-Levitt is still pretty popular.

He was definitely good in "Mysterious Skin", but I thought it was drivel otherwise.

yes he was ..so you didn't like the movie? it was pretty strange
he played homo in that 70's show before too..he has a knack for it lol

Goofle 07-11-2012 05:49 AM

Wow, the acting in 30 Rock is bad? If there's one ares of that show which is done right its the acting. Even Tracy Morgan manages to be convincing, at least to me.

Yeah, I was confused by that comment too. I'd say the acting 30 Rock is pretty good.
