2 episodes into True Detective ... and wow. Even though I knew he could act, Matthew McConaughey surprised me. It's starting a bit slow, but that's a very minor issue. I'm looking forward to finishing the season this weekend.
Oh, and the soundtrack is just lovely. Reminds me a bit of "Oh Brother where art though", though it is a lot more varied and isn't composed only of blues/bluegrass/gospel/whatever southern music types are out there.

Speaking of Anime, am I the only one that really enjoyed Ghost in the Shell: Arise ? Several of my friends watched it and they all said "it could have been better" and pointed out insignificant (imo ) details like a slightly different graphics style... I for one quite enjoy major Motoko without those huge fake boobs she's been dragging around as they somehow took the focus away from a rich and detailed political story set in a well thought out futuristic world and made the series look like it's about.. well. boobs.
