I've actually put a hold on Parks and Recreation when I realized that there are 11 seasons of Frasier on Netflix. I spent all day in bed just watching it.

You made the right choice.

I loved watching it as a kid whenever it came on TV, and i'm enjoying it even more now that I understand the smart humor. I understood some of it before, but most of it used to go right over my head.

If you enjoy the exact same British-farce lifted situations repeated ad nauseam, then yes, it's the way to go.

British farces are hilarious. I don't see your argument.

Frasier - now that's unfunny.
Maybe it's the fact that I was raised in Poland not the US, maybe it's simply a matter of good taste :P But there are 2 "sitcoms" that no matter how hard I try, won't make me laugh. Frasier is one, the other is Seinfeld.
Oh and then there is Everybody Loves Raymond, but that's not unfunny - that's simply pathetic.
Oh and I do enjoy British humor very much. Mock the week - now this is a funny show, though Frankie Boyle leaving was somewhat sad.

They aren't hilarious. But really it's the "repeated ad nauseam" part of my statement that's key issue with Frasier. How many times can you watch Frasier trying to cover up an embarrassing misunderstanding while people hide in various rooms before it gets boring?

I think Seinfeld's humor was very specific to a certain time and place. I can see why the humor wouldn't translate well to another a culture.

Yeah, Everybody Loves Raymond is pretty awful.

Seriously, complaining is the national sport over here. Seinfeld was an amateur, constantly bitching about irrelevant and made up issues, whining etc. At least that's the impression I got from the few episodes I managed to force myself to watch :P
