Daryl is by far my favourite character on Walking Dead so far (mid-way through season 2). Yeah, he has said some f*cked up stuff but he has done nothing but put himself out for the group. And he's far more bad ass than the other obvious "good characters".
I would appreciate no "Oh well see if you still think that way about him in season 3" type comments please.

We'll see what you think by season 4.

Alright, so I just downloaded Season 3 of The Simpsons, and I'm finally ready to dive into this behemoth of a series.
I know that it apparently goes downhill at some point, though, so I'm wondering about which seasons are generally considered to be good. |

I think the mid to late 90s were the best. The first few seasons were too Bart-focused and they hadn't quite found the right tone. The twenty-first century seemed like they were starting to run out of ideas.

i agree with Janzoon the first seasons are heavily focused on bart and overall the series is more story driven.
Later on the series they focused more on their characters mannerisms than the story. i saw the whole series outta sequence but i would say around season 7 or so the series arrives at a different dynamic The transition is very subtle so i can't pin point exactly when it happens but homer starts getting dumber and Lisa starts dropping witty and sarcastic comments and Bart starts being less rebellious and starts being more aware of himself. I remember in one eps Bart is trying to win a girl's affection (i think it was the preacher's daughter) but she keeps ignoring him and he says: "Why doesn't she like me? is it because ive been wearing the same clothes for 7 years?" That joke always stuck with me for some reason.

S2 Spoilers spoilers spoilers I think my favourite episode was when they get off the farm, it was just pure zombie chaos. I loved it.
