That's great, but I think you're an anomaly. It's very New York Jewish humor. People in the northeastern US generally find it funny but there are large swathes of even my own country that generally don't get it (i.e. the south).

Oh man, that sounds like my nightmare. It always amazes that some of the worst shows from here seem to be so popular elsewhere. Two and a Half Men has been the prime example for a long time for me but I'll add The Nanny to the list.

i can see what you mean but they do put a lot of emphasis on it which it kills it for me. initially, it sounded like there would be a lot of cool psychology topics but they just loaded it with the facial movement aspect. i think i got disinterested right away because i was disappointed. i watched another episode to try to get into it but still thought it was lame. i like Monk better because the stories seem more thought out. |
