i think the americans probably think higher of brit sitcoms than their own ones, no?

Seinfeld's comedy is so broad it was meant to be enjoyed by low-brow foreigners such as I

yes a majority of them do but I only like brit sitcoms because they tend to be more perverted/raunchier and get away with more. If they aren't, I couldn't care less.

Right now I'm watching Trailer Park Boys, season 4. So, so funny.

i didn't really watch anything on tv for about 4 years so i've been making up for that with great enthusiasm this year. Breaking Bad, Weeds, & Californication were prime.

Chuck & modern family are cool but all the good shows are still waiting for a new season to start.

& i agree that House sucks, they make him such a douche. Same exact storyline with Lie to me. They both couldn't be any more obvious.

What?

I love Lie to me not because the main guy is an ass sometimes but because of how him and his team work. Lie to me is awesome and i hope it has at least 4 more seasons.

I think the appeal of House to me is more about his weaknesses more so than how much of a douche he is to people. I like to see his relationship with Wilson. I also like to see how he attempts to show someone that he cares about that with his relationship to Cuddy.

I used to dig House, but over the years I've lost interest. It also really bugs me how they portray him, the only notable atheist that I've seen in recent years on TV, as completely disrepectful of anyone else's beliefs. In fact they use his atheism as just another way that he is disrespectful.

i just think it's is so easy to predict. i only watched about 5 shows but you can see their facial expressions easily and know if they are lying or not. i'm assuming it must get better since there are multiple seasons but i thought it was awful, like watching blues clues as an adult.

I completely disagree with this statement. Seinfeld's comedy is somewhat niche even within the US.
