I think that the final episode of Breaking Bad didn't quite stand up to the rest of the season, which I thought was superb. It did go down a predictable route for the most part and I feel like the episode would have been better if it focused on other things apart from setting everything up for the final scene. That being said, I still thought it was a good ending, my main criticism of the finale is that it means no more Breaking Bad.

Anyone hear the theory that the ending to Breaking Bad was Walter's fantasy?

I'm gonna do the same.

Definitely wasn't a fantasy ending.

Yeah it was a shot in the dark but pretty cool idea regardless. It did give me a reason to dissect the episode better, so there's that.
Also after watching it again part of me kind of wishes the series ended with a shot of Saul Goodman just chilling on a beach somewhere sippin on a beer and he just like winks. Or there should have been at least a scene like that. |
I just thought it had no depth or complexity. It was very straightforward and cut-and-dry but I liked some scenes (Hitmen, Jesse's fantasy scene, the Skyler scene was cool). I admit that while I didn't like it, I don't know what I would have rather had happen. After

So the show got a pretty predictable ending and left it with the fan service?
That's completely the opposite of what Dexter did and everyone seemed to hate the Dexter series finale for it but I loved the creators for NOT going the predictable route that fans wanted. |

And Anticipation, I'm curious as to what you were hoping for the resolution to be. |
