Yes, because I take an interest in Tudor history and that includes fictional portrayals.

I know you didn't ask me but I painstakingly waited each week for a new episode when it first came out. Banshee is the name of the hicktown in Pennsylvania that the main character(who is a thief btw) runs away to after being chased by some mobsters where he takes on the role of sheriff there. You heard me right, a thief comes to a town and takes over the sheriff role.
Later on you figure out why he chose that specific town to come to. The show has a gritty dark feel to it and after each episode there is a little scene that gives away a nugget of information.

Watching Prison Break at the moment - I was too young for it when it was originally on air. Absolutely loving it although I did feel that the third season was substantially weaker than the first two. Currently on episode three of the final season. Also about to finish the third season of Spin City (again, too young when it was on air). Brilliant comedy series starring Michael J. Fox.

In terms of current series' I'm waiting for Big Bang Theory S6 to complete its run in the US so I can watch all the episodes in one go and I cannot wait for Breaking Bad to return in August, although I really wish it wasn't ending.

Thanks DJ. It starts here on Monday so I may give it a shot. I wondered was there any supernatural element to it, given its pedigree, but it would seem not?
PS sorry for late reply but I wasn't able to access the net at all till yesterday...

.
Spin City was great until the lumbering hulk of Charlie Sheen ruined it after MJF left. Mind you, Heather Locklear... yum!

Nope, no supernatural stuff to it but I think you may enjoy it especially if you end up liking the pilot.

I am in crisis mode guys. I have come to the realisation that The Wire may not be the greatest TV Show I have ever seen. Homicide: Life of the Street may have overtaken it.

I think The Wire suffers slightly from being an hour long, whereas Homicide is only 45 minutes. You end up with less "filler" and a pacier narrative. That isn't always a good thing in terms of timing and story line development, but I think in general that it helps the show.

I won't definitively say it is better than The Wire yet as I have not seen all of them, but it runs it close/surpasses in terms of my enjoyment of an episode.
