She already messed with Deb AND left the plant on top of things.

Spoiler for dex season 7 spoilers:
I know that but I don't think shes done with trying to kill Deb. If she truly wants to be with Dex then she has to get rid of her. And then thats gonna lead to him having to stop her by force.

Yeah maybe the plant has like a letter in it or something. "Follow me, find me" something of that nature.

It was actually kind of underwhelming, didn't enjoy it as much as I though I was going to. I laughed more during the credits then the episode itself.

I honestly can't imagine them ending Dexter in any way other than

Spoiler for Eh?:
Killing the entire cast

Honestly, I'm kind of surprised they've kept him around this long already.

I have mixed feelings about the series, because it's boxed itself so far into its own drama as to have few possible outcomes. Either the outcome is logical, and thus predictable, or it's surprising, and asks the viewer to suspend far too much disbelief.

It's difficult when a series tries to one-up itself after playing its best cards early on. Honestly, the Bay Harbor Butcher arc seemed more like a season-8 plot than a season-2 story, and because it started out with its best season, it's just gradually declined in quality since.

I disagree with the quality declining. Season 4 with the Trinity Killer was the height of the series and Season 7 was just a tiny bit below that then I'd rank the season 2 storyline after those two.

I'm hoping they deliver a little bit of both in the endgame. Yes, it may be predictable but there might be a few shocking surprises or two along with it.

I agree with you DJ that the Trinity killer was the height of the series, but I also agree with Pedestrian that the series has been on a decline; at least from a writing perspective.

Season 5,6,7 were good as a whole, but there have been various instances that have fallen flat these last few seasons. The show doesn't have that same pace it did early on but there are also things they're doing right too. Its a mixed bag with the show, I still really like it but it definitely makes me scratch my head sometimes.

Like the burning guy didn't even really need to be involved at all last season; he was randomly implemented near the end and then killed off like 2 episodes later. It just felt like they threw him in there becuase the writers had to fill a void.
