Damn, I am really liking the first season too. Will give the others a chance anyway.

You really think he had this big an impact ?
The show stands on its own and has a dedicated fanbase, I think that was the bigger deciding factor .. but whatever it was, I'm glad it's back.

Most likely a bit of both.

It was picked up the day after he tweeted though tbf.

So execs were probably thinking about it favourably and then Hamills support tipped their decision in the fans direction.

Watching a Tonight Show re-run with both George Carlin and Richard Pryor as guests. They are playing off each other like mad. Absolute brilliance.

Watching an extremely wasted Donald Sutherland completely bomb on a 70s Tonight Show rerun. Embarrassing.

I NEED CABLE!

I don't have internet here and trying to stream TV or movies chews through the data on my hotspot too fast.

Hmm. Maybe some cheap boxsets? I'm sure you can pick some up in one of the stores there, right? There's always books of course.

I've been buying up cheap DVDs like mad. Sometimes it's just nice to zone out to random TV though.

Need to figure where I'm going to finally end up before I dive into any contract deals.

No Freeview.

Okay. I thought with a dish you could just pick up whatever channels were free-to-air? That's what my brother did: bought a big ****er of a dish (you could hear it groaning every time he'd reorient it to pick up a channel) and watched **** like Lebanese porn and stuff like that. No contract, no card, no payment of any kind.

Chula Vista 05-23-2018 05:57 PM

The two options out here are Dish and Direct. Both are pretty expensive and require at least a 2 year commitment.

The Batlord 05-23-2018 06:00 PM

Go hang at a wi-fi spot for a while and Torrent like a felon.

OccultHawk 05-23-2018 07:49 PM

Westworld is like a Black Mirror episode that’s 15 hours too long.

Dude111 05-24-2018 02:21 AM

I last watched a honeymooners episode on VHS :) (Recorded from analogue cable in 1988 during a "honeymooners marathon")

EPISODE: The one where they buy a TV and argue over it.......

Mindy 05-24-2018 06:06 AM

Roseanne getting good actually.

Silicon Valley always good.

Mr. Robot is good too.

OccultHawk 05-24-2018 10:04 AM

I like the Roseanne reboot, too.

Silicon Valley should show some titties since it’s cable

Westworld showed this guy’s dick and I was like goddamn he’s got a big dick

I wouldn’t want to carry that thing around all day

No limp dick should be that big

Just sayin

Big one imo

@Chula: of those, the ones I know, all I can say is that I would have expected to have seen Becker and Family Ties get higher scores. Two of my favourite shows.

One of the things I've noticed with this network is that don't show the first few seasons of any show. Never seen a Three's Company with Suzanne Summers, a a Family Ties without the addition of the 4th child, or an Alice with Flo.

A lot of what I'm seeing is after the shows were in their prime. That accounts for some of the lower scores.

The humor hasn't aged well at all. Not at all. Find it stupid now.

Lucem Ferre 05-25-2018 02:49 AM

Watched 13 Reasons season two.

Disgusted with myself for trudging through this high school drama that should have honestly ended with the first season. Seemed like they are trying to squeeze as much as they can out of this show. The cliff hangers at the end of this imply that there will be a third and I can already tell that the third season will be drastically worse. I'll probably still watch it, they got me hooked and ashamed for it.

If you don't know, it's basically a glorified high school drama with a mental health awareness gimmick. It focuses on rape, suicide, bullying, drug addiction, broken homes, mental illnesses, depression and school shootings. All fun things. There is a whole lot of punk music in the soundtrack and the most entertaining thing you can do is count how many Joy Division or Cure posters you can find.
