@ Trollheart
BTW, how far are you into Revenge? You know it's season finale is coming up in a couple months, I think. |
@ The Batlord
I've taken a little break to let a few episodes build up. That's the problem with watching it while it's on: you tend to want to keep watching, and then they say "More from Revenge next week"! WHat IS this, 1985?:D |

"Take this to table 12." "But...there are no plates." "Well...use...recipe books with pictures of plates on the front! Do I have to explain everything?! |
Yeah that was brilliant! Or the one where Bernard has to do his taxes (I think it's the pilot ep) and he goes to his accountant with all sticky notes on his coat "This is my new system". "Yeah. Bernard, the new system is just the old system, isn't it?" Then the accountant hears sirens, legs it out onto the fire escape, the cops come in looking for him: hilarious!
"Black Books" and "Spaced" are two of the best recent British comedies. And I'm starting to get into "The IT Crowd" now too... Edit: OH OH OH! I forgot the one where they're in charge of some guy's wine cellar, and he tells them they can drink anything from THAT side, but the really expensive, important stuff is over there. And of course, they get confused and drink all the good stuff! And there's something about Bernard going to the toilet somewhere he really wasn't supposed to? Bit vague, can't remember. Bedroom maybe? @The Batlord: wow, over here we all have Sky Plus (or Virgin Plus): hardly anyone watches anything live these days. Thought you guys would be well ahead of the curve over there! (What is this? The Dark Ages?) |
Bernard mistakenly goes to the toilet in a friends chair when he's drunk at a dinner party they are hosting. He tells his friends that he went to their bathroom, while slurring his words, but that their son then came in and he was drinking milk from the fridge and asks them who would buy a wicker toilet.
"Bernard, you remember Jim don't you?" "Err...I'm not sure. What do you do, Jimbo?" "No Bernard, this is our son." "Oh thank God! I thought you had a disease! It's a child!" |

Very true. But then, America doesn't have anyone like Bill Bailey! The man is both a comedy god and a fierce musician! What a combination!
|
Yes Bill Bailey surprised me completely. I saw his special online: Bill Bailey's Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra. Good times! Dylan and Bill's specials are really fun. And it's very nice to see they're pulling such a big crowd of all types. I didn't know they were so known or revered... But I'm glad they are.
