I honestly don't even want to watch the show (or at least not until I've finished all the books) because I don't think it will live up to how awesome the books are.

The first season followed the books almost verbatim with only a few scenes shortened due to budgetary reasons. From what I've read about season two, the only major change so far is changing the name of Asha Greyjoy to Yara Greyjoy so people don't confuse her with the wildling at Winterfell named Osha. As far as waiting for all the books to be released, if we go by the last two release dates that won't be for another 11-years so I think you're depriving yourself of an excellent TV series that does its source material real justice for absolutely no well founded reason.

I was a complete cult fan during the first season. It was an absolute obsession. I quit by season 3, because the series broke too many of its own rules and everything I enjoyed about its storytelling went down the pisser. I'm still not over being angry at it for ****ting in the mouth of what I thought was so much potential, haha.

I'm on S2 right now, tbh I think it's still good. I've not noticed any major changes except there's like half the episodes in S2. I'm actually having dreams I'm a superhero, but I don't know wither that's my obsession or me theoretically coming off drugs either way it's quite good to feel like Hayden Panettiere

I have watched this religiously for years and it is the only 'reality' show that's worth a damn as the contestants genuinely bust their balls to become the winner.
