there are a bunch of webpages with lists of comic book movie adaptations currently in development, like hundreds of them. And we've got the upcoming Hobbit movie(s) to 'look forward' to, I'm sure the Tolkien cash cow is going to be milked for many years to come. I'll admit to having enjoyed a number of these brain-dead jaw-dropping FX-fests, Transformers had some B-movie charm and looked fantastic.

edit: could we also include the recent slew of musician biopics as unimaginative/occasionally apocryphal remakes? Ray, Walk the Line, the TERRIBLE-looking Notorious and coming to a theatre near you the Iggy Pop biopic with Elijah Wood as the leathery one.

I really think you ought to be long-dead before you get your own movie
