It's like Harry Potter except more poorly written, and written for the sake of contreversy instead of trying to get an idea across.

What's wrong with controversy? I think that's awesome.

I'd rather read a book with interesting stuff and sh*t grammar in it than a perfectly worded boring book.

I really loved The golden Compass, but the other two were just terrible. I rather read the works of an author that can actually follow through and write two(in Harry Potter's case 6) more books on the same contreversial concept that are just as good if not better then the last.

haruki murakami is one of the best writers of the modern era. he's one of the only writers that has published in the last 20 years that i truly respect as an author.

ethan, have you ever read any of his stuff?

Why don't we have two separate book clubs. One for people who want to read harry potter and one for people who want to read something you can actually discuss?
