Of course it is.

I love the Dr's sig, the opening "choose life" quote, as well as the ending "I'm gonna be just like you" quote are just brilliant.

I was all about it as a kid. It came out when I was 6 or 7 years old. The way I understand it, it wasn't as big of a thing over in the UK anyway. But it's like a lot of things that you watch when you're a kid, and then you watch it later, and yeah, parts of the acting aren't that good and some parts aren't as awesome as you remembered them, but I still dig the movie. The soundtrack is pretty ****in' awesome, too. For the most part, anyway.

It was technically okay, in the making of it. The camera angles and direction etc.

But I heard it was a really big film in America so I thought it'd be good. I just thought it was crap, mindless crap.

If I discovered it when I was a kid, it would be love at first sight. My favourite film as a kid was Titanic

The Weatherman

Quote:
The first time I was struck with something, a chicken breast from Kenny Rogers. I was standing next to a garbage pail. I thought it might've been an accident, that they were throwing it out. The second time, it hit me square on the chin, a soft taco. Then, pop. A falafel. McNuggets. Always fast food. Fast food. Shit people would rather throw out than finish. It's easy. It tastes all right, but it doesn't really provide you any nourishment. I'm fast food.
Synecdoche, New York

Quote:
Everything is more complicated than you think. You only see a tenth of what is true. There are a million little strings attached to every choice you make; you can destroy your life every time you choose. But maybe you won't know for twenty years. And you may never ever trace it to its source. And you only get one chance to play it out. Just try and figure out your own divorce. And they say there is no fate, but there is: it's what you create. And even though the world goes on for eons and eons, you are only here for a fraction of a fraction of a second. Most of your time is spent being dead or not yet born. But while alive, you wait in vain, wasting years, for a phone call or a letter or a look from someone or something to make it all right. And it never comes or it seems to but it doesn't really. And so you spend your time in vague regret or vaguer hope that something good will come along. Something to make you feel connected, something to make you feel whole, something to make you feel loved. And the truth is I feel so angry, and the truth is I feel so ****ing sad, and the truth is I've felt so ****ing hurt for so ****ing long and for just as long I've been pretending I'm OK, just to get along, just for, I don't know why, maybe because no one wants to hear about my misery, because they have their own. Well, **** everybody. Amen.

That Synecdoche, New York quote is perfect.

Because he's the hero Gotham deserves. But not the one it needs right now. And so we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent gaurdian. A watchful protector. A dark knight.
