My Batman Comic Idea
 

I've been told these ideas are retarded, but whatever.

So I was at my buddy Forest's yesterday, and we were playing Soul Caliber IV, where he made a Joker and Batman for custom characters. Batman looked like a Viking, and Joker looked like a Ninja. I decided then "I should make a Samurai Batman versus a Ninja Joker comic". I told Forest and he agreed that this was a good idea. So I'm going to try and make that comic. Yes, it is based in the actual time era Samurai were prevalent in.

I had another idea, also. This one is more of a Joker story. It's about how Joker finds a child after killing the father somehow (haven't worked that part out yet) and raises it, because children are the only thing he has a sympathetic feeling for. This might sound cheesy, but it's hard to describe.

I could definitely see Batman in a samurai setting, but the Joker's whole flamboyant look and personally are pretty much antithetical to what a ninja is supposed to be. I bet you could make the idea work well with one of Batman's other enemies though, maybe Ra's al Ghul as some power hungry shogun or something. That would fit right in with Ra's al Ghul's established personality.

I'll have to find me some Ra's al Ghul comics.

well the second story could be doable, but after watching "The Dark Knight", I really like that approach they made to the character. Completely unsympathetic to anything or anyone, and that's the approach they should make with the comics as well. The whole messenger of chaos thing, and blowing up hospitals and boats full of innocent people.

Didn't the joker have a love interest sort-off in the cartoon?
If you were going to do the child-adopting story line i think you should do it when the Joker is much older, and unable to do a lot of the crazy stunts he can do now.

Maybe the point of him getting a child would be to have a replacement, kinda like batman with batman beyond

Well, spark, the whole idea is that I was trying a new form of Joker, one that can actually have some little bit of emotion, even if it's never really let out. Scarface is about the same way; he'll kill at will and won't have any form of remorse, but at the point where he has to kill the guy going to the UN with his family, he won't budge on his point of view. That's sort of what I'm going for, except less emotion.

Matious: I'm thinking more on the side of him only having the child for a little while and finally giving it up, because, you know, he's the Joker. He can't raise a child.

And then his son turns out to be Robin

i doubt theres already a set-in-stone plot line that goes against that, but it would still be a tight twist :P

That would be pretty fuckin rad, though.

And the comic ideas sound pretty awesome, I wish I knew people that were into comics so I could mooch :)
