I'd watch a Batman movie starring Tom Selleck. Just sayin'. And am I to understand that you've never read Batman: Year One? It's pretty much considered the best Batman story after The Dark Knight Returns. If you're a Batman fan then Batman: Year One is required reading. It was even written by Frank Miller (who wrote The Dark Knight Returns).

Instocktrades.com comes through again. Ordered a bunch of Batman graphic novels I'd been meaning to get for the longest and they came pretty quick, and in a box much bigger than all the comics combined. The extra space was filled with enough styrofoam to protect a baby from a ten story fall, so extra points for treating Batman right. Instocktrades is very much on my good side atm.
Oh, and... Batman: Year One Already talked enough about this recently, but I'm stoked to finally have a physical copy for my very own. The Man Who Laughs A retelling of the first meeting between Batman and the Joker from Batman #1 all the way back in 1940, and one of the best Joker stories you'll ever read. If you want to see the Joker at his most twisted and un-PG-13 then get this now. Dark Victory Sequel to The Long Halloween, which is one of the best Batman comics ever. Very noirish, with amazing artwork, and makes you give a **** about Robin's origin. Hush Only read a bit of this, but it's very highly regarded and I'm looking forward to finally finishing it. Also written by the same guy who did The Long Halloween and Dark Victory. Batman: Year 100 Don't know much about this one, other than that it's about a new Batman a hundred years after the events of the actual Batman comics, but I kept seeing it pop up on best of lists so I figured I might as well. And no, it's not in any way connected to Batman Beyond.

You know there's a theory that at the end of The Killing Joke that Batman kills the Joker? It's a weird looking scene that can be interpreted in different ways if you want to look at it a certain way. The Killing Joke actually was not necessarily even considered to be DC canon at first, so there was nothing to stop it from doing anything like that. But now that it is canon obviously Batman could not have killed the Joker, even though there's the possibility that this was in fact the original intention, even if it was left vague and up to the viewer to decipher. This IS Alan Moore we're talking about.
So I think I've become a believer of this theory. I might do a comic journal entry about why.

Omg. I found a comic titled Harriet Tubman Demon Slayer. I am about to dig into this hardcore. Too bad only one issue is out so far.

Think I'm gonna get back into Batman Beyond soon. I watched a bit of it a while ago but never kept up with it. The first two-episode origin story is great, but the next episode with Inque (my new avatar) resold me. A lot of Batman Beyond villains aren't top shelf Rogue Gallery material, and Inque is definitely not the best character, but Batman Beyond villains are generally visually fantastic. And holy **** is Inque a perfect example. She's just all about movement and imagination and intensity, and in her first episode basically makes Terry look like a complete and utter chump, even though he eventually wins by luck.
