Depends on what you mean by "series." If you mean franchise (e.g. Batman, Superman, etc.), I'd say Batman. If you mean a set of ten or so books that follow a linear storyline, I'd say either Preacher or Sandman (I've only read the first book of each, I'll buy more when I get more money that I don't feel like spending on CDs).
