I had a handful of Calvin & Hobbes books back in the day and that was one of them. I think Scientific Progress Goes Boink was my first.
|
I still have all the books in my old room in Holland

I'm a member of a C&H FB group and one of the members posts entire series like those in albums with each strip numbered all proper and such, so I share em here. There's a lot.

If you don't know who Neal Adams is he is, along with writer Dennis O'Neal, the reason people still care about Batman.

A great loss in the world of comics

For some reason this thread reminded me of how ancient the tradition of illustration goes back and how it’s connected in obscure ways to the birth of the comic. Gustav Dore’s ‘Michael finds Discord presiding over an election in the monastery’ came to mind (below)

Thinking about selling my 20+ Deadpool comics. I've had them for about 15 years.... my big plan was he'd be super popular eventually, but even with the movies & resurgent interest, they're not worth much. I don't think they ever will be.
I don't even read them, I just used to be a /b/tard and he was the posterchild and I knew he'd be mainstream popular eventually. What do you wise (wo)men think? Hold or sell? |
They'll never be worth anything cause there's no shortage of nerds with the exact same comics in their collection in better condition.
