Watched south park since it came out, when I was about 8. It's not been great since the 5/6th series, but still watchable, I just don't bother waiting for a new episode and watching it on release day as I used to, because that was always a let down.
Family guy..the first episode/thing I saw was Steven Segal breaking the backs and necks of an army of seals. I have to admit I found it hilarious. But three episodes later I was pretty much done with it. South Park. |

The Simpsons are the parents, as it were. As a matter of fact, South Park has an episode that pays homage to The Simpsons. It's not easy to compare! I love them all, though South Park has stopped cracking me up since season 4. But it was supreme at first! I think it's like saying: hey, which one is better: Hendrix, Van Halen or Guthrie Govan? Let's love'em all!

All shows were great at a time but have started to suck. Especially The Simpsons, which has been terribad since what? 2005? They're still my favorite of the 3, followed by South Park and a few episodes of FG weren't bad.

South Park is intelligent, with constant subtext and commentary that few have dared to delve into. They are equal opportunity insulting, with a heavy dose of hilarity and avant garde, alternative thinking.
Family Guy is a funny show but it's garbage intellectually. Any reference to anything relevant is basically a cutscene, of a famous dude, doing something funny. The Simpsons started it all, so they get props. Obviously I love South Park. They make fun of absolutely everything, including both Family Guy and the Simpsons, and that's me in a nutshell dude. Laugh at everyone. Everything in the world is worth laughing at, including ourselves.

South Park for sure. I think one could make the argument that the old episodes of Family Guy are just as good, if not better, than South Park. However, Family Guy has been steadily going downhill in the last few years. This season is especially ****ty. South Park, on the other hand, is still hilarious 17 years later. Thus, I prefer South Park.
