Well I'll be able to buy stuff in a few weeks, just not yet. My PC can run things like WoW, the sims and Guild Wars 1 (just not the newer versions of those games) so my choices aren't necessarily horribly limited, it's just that my graphics card is garbage. I know my laptop can run older stuff but I don't have a desk here in my motel room and I'm too fidgety to be able to play stuff on my bed. (My laptop dies if it unplugs even slightly because its battery is dead. I flop around too much for that)

oh, yeah. i didnt know it needed to be free. think it’s like $9.99 or something. but yes it will quite literally run on a potato. not only is it not graphic intensive in the slightest, but you can turn the settings even lower if needed.

You mean like a light bulb in science class?

Oh, I do have Stardew Valley waiting for me though so I imagine that will consume my entire life soon

I may have asked this before, but: Is there a way to privately stream things? So that only people who have the link (or whatever) can view it? Either via Twitch or some other program?

I think you can stream privately on Steam and then people in your FL just send a request to join the stream.

Hrmm okay, maybe that'll work.

Twitch seems to be the most accessible and optimized for things like this. It really only depends on your internet connection. And of course what your computer will allow you to stream in terms of quality.

This works in theory, though I've tried it before and it's very choppy. The video sharing on Steam is not top of the line, but it's still functional.

Probably the best option would be to use Twitch since it'd be easy for everyone to just go into the same room as the broadcaster.

But if you have a computer that's not really top of the line then you'd be pretty limited with the things you can stream. Streaming and recording game footage is very CPU intensive.

Definitely is, so much so that most streamers use a separate PC for streaming alone.
