Basically I love that the better Wii and DS games emphasis art style and color over the technical mumbo jumbo like shadow textering or making the flesh sag or stupid sh*t like that. I think the Wii's lack of advance graphics is one of it's greatest attributes, because it encourages the developers to actually make games that are visually impressive beyond just having simulations of real life physics. To me it's not the technical stuff that makes graphics good, it's the art, imagination and execution. This is why I still find the graphics in some 8 bit and 16 bit games to be way more pleasing to the eye than the standard shooter for the 360. Quote:
O rly? Anti Nintendo fanboy rants makes up about 40% of the internets content by this point. Quote:

Not the PS3 though, it has no attributes. Quote:
Anyway I'm not talking about sales, Sonic and Mega Man games still continue to break sales records, I'm talking about the decline in quality. I think Sonics 3D games have been on a steady decline starting with Sonic Heroes, I hear Unleashed is decent and it's pretty sad that when there actually is a decent 3D Sonic game people consider it a pleasant surprise, what happened? This was once a franchise where anything less than a perfect 10 was considered a failure. I think one of the reasons for the series decline is that none of the original creators of Sonic are involved with the games anymore, and Sega should let more companies develop the games instead of Sonic Team. The excellent GBA and DS games were all made by another company, Dimps. As for Mega Man, you're clearly only talking about the main series, and not all the ridiculous spinoffs. I think the big decline of the franchise started with Mega Man X6. Seriously, have you taken a good look at what they have been doing to Mega Man lately? It ain't pretty. Oh yeah, I forget, blu ray DVD player, that's kinda cool I guess.
Now, if only they could get an actual gaming console in there, then I might reconsider. |

It was Atari's hilarious attempt at outdoing the SNES and Genesis and it was marketed as being the first 64 bit console, which was a load of bullsh*t.
Here's a nice little retrospective on it from the nerd. ScrewAttack Video Game, Angry Video Game Nerd: Atari Jaguar Part I | Game Trailers & Videos | GameTrailers.com ScrewAttack Video Game, Angry Video Game Nerd: Atari Jaguar Part II | Game Trailers & Videos | GameTrailers.com Yeah, apparrently the CD add on is so crappy that not even the guy who invented the Nintoaster (a fully functioning NES made out of a toaster) and Super Gentari (an Atari 2600, NES, Genesis and Super Nintendo all rolled into one) can get it to work. I was a PS2 fanatic, hated first xbox, but I agree Jaguar owns PS3...who the hell would want to install every effing game on a console before playing it????? Just kills the fun right there. I'm not saying it doesn't have good games...just not enough of them for me to buy it.
But back to the point of this post, I just beat the single player on Halo O.D.S.T, was short but I liked the story a lot. Also played Wet recently...that just pissed me off all the time. I play the hell out of Skate 2 when I have nothing better to do tho

About Halo 3 O.D.S.T. Those are the most pretentious freaking ads I've ever seen.
They're even more overblown than Apple's 1984 ad. |
