I bought Borderlands: Pre Sequel for like 6$ yesterday and so far, I'm loving it. Well, I sort of knew what to expect, having played both Borderlands 1 and 2 (with multiple dlc) before.. but despite all that, it's still fun. The low gravity of the moon, where most of the game takes place, adds an interesting twist to the gameplay. There's a new class of weapons - lasers. And apart from that, it's more of the same - a ton of silly stuff that is usually just a pretext to shoot people. And robots. And monsters.
If you enjoyed any other Borderlands game, and you haven't played this one already as it's not exactly new, picking it up as cheap as it is now is a great choice. If you haven't played any of these games, but wouldn't mind a mix of a well made shooter with some rpg elements (which means basically, getting randomly generated loot -tons of it), you won't be disappointed. |
i never finished 2, nor did i bother picking up the pre-sequel. but holy **** did i rack up the hours on the first 1. at some point i will come back around and play the others, but the nostalgia i have for the 1st one just leads it to always be my first choice.

I really need to play more Borderlands, but it's ever so slightly janky on my computer and I'm too lazy to boot up my 360 since I never use it anymore. But god damn do I love the idea of a Fallout that's better as a shooter and ridiculous with some of the coolest weapons in gaming.

Alright, you know what, **** it. Even if my comp isn't quite good enough to record Penumbra then I did not just play 45 minutes of it and **** my pants at a ****ing wolf with glowing eyes for nothing, so you're all gonna hear about me being terrified every ****ing night. I am not going to give up on one of the few PC horror games I can actually play, especially since I've already seen enough Amnesia playthroughs to know when I should and should not be terrified (although I do still want to play it cause when I should feel terrified still looks hellish no matter how much advanced notice I have). So get ready for some in-depth coverage.

put it in your journal then **** boy
|
Maybe I ****ing will, ****. Should I put it in the Let's Play journal even without video, or should I put it in my general, Kitchen Sink journal?
|
tbh a let’s play journal could be alright. especially since you’re generally playing older games that could allow you to double the lets play as a review too.

Srsly though I'm gonna try to split my next tax return check between a hooptie and a new gaming laptop. Both are just too important to me. |
how much do you project you'll have to spend on the laptop? not trying to dig into personal deets, just trying to think of a good pick for cheap cheap. there are a lot of pretty decent options.
