I'm awful at RTS's, even though they're my favorite games. Simply awful. Cringe-inducingly terrible. But after watching a bunch of Day9's new StarCraft Remastered videos, where he basically lays down how to begin playing even semi-seriously in minute detail like an SC Mister Rogers, I'm compelled to try again to not suck at SC1. All past attempts at not sucking at any StarCraft game have met with abysmal failure, but this time I'm gonna sit my ass down in a game with no opponents and just **** around with building bases and build orders like a complete pleb until I'm the next Jaedong. Heh. Dong.

Thx, Day9. You're my ****ing spirit animal and you make me want to crush my enemies beneath my jackboot.

Then get thee to the realm of Dynasty Warriors, where if thou can mash a button, thou can a hero be.

I've come to terms with this. My reaction speed is terrible, my strategic creativity is negligible, and my situational awareness is cringe-inducing. But I don't care cause RTS is god and I will at least rise to the level of adequate. I ****ing will.

Dynasty Warriors is my absolute ****. Especially Samurai Warriors and especially especially Gundam Warriors. And I don't even like Gundam shows for the most part.

Dynasty Warriors Strategy Guide:

1. Press square a lot.
2. If in trouble, press circle or run away.
3. If you're feeling fancy, sometimes press triangle.

if you play a game enough and dedicate yourself to learning from players better than you through youtube, twitch, whatever else then i think anyone could get good at any game.

reaction speed is obviously important but understanding game mechanics is hella important. the reason why most streamers and pros are so good is because it's literally their life and some of them are dedicating 6+ hours a day to their respective game. at that point you know every in and out of what is and isn't good, the meta so to speak.

i believe in you Batty and Elph, shoot for the stars babes.

You do not believe in me and don't pretend otherwise.

You could always become a Duel Monsters pro batty if you're too terrible at RTS games.

Oh goody. Now that SC1 is now active again in Blizzard's eyes I now have to actually deal with downloading updates just to start the ****ing game. That was one of the nice things about SC1. Blizzard didn't care enough to make me wait for updates I didn't even care about in the first place.

*spins chair in boredom*

Edit: IT'S A ****ING SC2 UPDATE AND I'M NOT EVEN TRYING TO PLAY SC2 **** YOUR ****, BLIZZARD, NOBODY EVEN CARES ABOUT SC2 ANYMORE JUST LET ME PLAY SC1!!!

2x Edit: And of course when I pause the SC2 update there's an SC1 update behind it.

*sigh*
