The cut scenes had sound, even though no voice acting (but it's PS1 so that's not a shock), but now that I'm actually playing the game it's dead quiet. As in completely noiseless. But I've been Googling the issue and nobody seems to have any problems with the game and a review I checked even pointed out just how sparse the sound was.

So, like, to anyone who's ever played Hell Night, is this just a game with hella weird sound design or is my sound just ****ing up? I'm honestly kinda going with the former, but Jesus Christ it's weird playing a game this quiet.
I owned it many years ago but don't remember how the sound was. I just seem to remember it being very dark and murky and that I quickly got stuck and gave up. There were a lot of obscure survival horror type games on PS1. Chaos Break was another one I remember having. It sucked.

It's annoying how much of the gameplay revolves around pure chance, but this game is still enjoyable regardless.
Same but I decided to jump back into Moon. I never made it off the first island. That's how little of it I played. Still trying to figure out what team I want to use.

Yeah the sound was just ****ed. I'm gonna have to get it working, cause the premise sounds like Alien: Isolation for the PS1. Too bad the monster looks terrible.

That moment when the Pokemon you added into your team shortly before the last gym is barely able to fend off wild Pokemon on Victory Road.

No way I'm ever going to play it again, but I do feel like seeing a snippet of gameplay, just to help my memory. I do vaguely remember that guy chasing me around early in the game.

Been playing Sentinel Returns on my Playstation 1 the last couple times my brother's been visiting. There's 650 stages in the game, but depending on how well you do, you will progress up to 4 stages at a time. We're already around stage 200. Pretty fun game despite somewhat clunky controls.

It is surprisingly hard to find good screenshots of this game.

Not exactly playing, but I've been wanting to try both and I just got the chance - the latest humblebundle includes, among others.. Verdun (what if battlefield 1 wasn't stupid) and Vermintide (what if you take Left 4 Dead and change the setting to Warhammer). You can get both for 5$, along with several other titles. I didn't -but I got the codes from a friend (she bought the bundle for other games, doesn't like fps games too much) so yay.

Did you end up grabbing this? What were your thoughts? I've had it for a while but hope to make some time to get back into it.

I bought a PS4 a couple months ago since I felt this was the perfect time with all these new games coming out. I've been playing the **** out of Rocket League. Pretty much my go to game when I'm high or drunk and just wanna wreck newbs. Also been playing Binding of Isaac because I want all the trophies and unlocks no matter how long it takes me. I also redownloaded a game I used to play in 2015 called Futuridium. It's pretty much the coolest game ever for an indie game.

Also decided to buy Return to Arkham (remaster of the first two Rocksteady Batman games). Arkham Asylum rules dude, I'm only about quarter of the way through it. I think. Also bought the new Doom game. Still playing that at the moment, seriously, such a load of fun. Whenever I'm feeling like killing imps and cyberdemons or whatever the **** all them cool baddies are, I just load up DOOM and glory kill everything.

And also been playing Sonic Mania. I legit preordered this and stayed up all night to play it when it came out. Pretty much the best sonic game that exists. Okay, maybe sonic 3 and knuckles can give it a run for its money, but only just barely. I preordered destiny when it first came out, so decided to redownload it. Still a fun game, gameplay wise, not much to say about anything else really. I suppose with the DLC its a lot worth it, but **** shelling out that much money for a game I already spent 60 quid on. I might just preorder destiny 2, but I dunno, the first was hella disappointing when it came out.

And also been playing Minecraft. I was around when it first came out on PC, and played it religiously. That died down obviously as I get older, but great memories. Great to have a go at it again almost 5 years later.

And that's pretty much all I've been playing at the moment. More to buy and play though. Give me recommendations if you can, there's a lot I've missed since 2015.

OMG the first two Arkham games are two of my absolute favorites. The first one has such good levels. The Poison Ivy sections are just absolutely fantastic. Such great atmosphere.
