Coming into the Steam summer sale without a money cushion is financial suicide.

Finally got a better pc as a graduation gift and all I've been buying are indie games. **** steam. The biggest thing I bought was shadows of mordor and I already have it on console.

Also my first fps was probably halo or the first quake. Can't remember exactly.

Lol. I still remember the excitement when our local arcade got its first asteroids machine - there were twelve space invaders machines and one asteroids with a huge queue behind it. Home gaming was Atari 2600.

I still remember as a kid in the late nineties discovering Asteroids in my grandparents computer room and being sprung. I was unstoppable.

Star Wars: Dark Forces was my first FPS. Played it when I was 9 years old. Quite possibly my favorite FPS ever, and by far my favorite FPS of the 90s.

omg I didn't even think about it. that might have actually been my 1st fps too. that **** was so epic, and Dark Forces 2 was the first time I got to be a Sith cause **** Jedi. Both those games were huge for me.

As much as I claim that I don't like FPS games. I have played most of the classics.

Goldeneye
Perfect Dark
Duke Nukem
Doom
Wolfenstein

More recent ones Destiny and mirrors edge even though it isn't technically a shooter.

I also forgot about this game. My dad and I tried playing it but I remember getting stuck on a level. I was like 4 or 5 at the time so maybe I should give it another shot.

Duke Nukem 3d was also one of the first fps games my dad and I beat together.

I remember beating a bunch of fps games on pc with my dad when I was young.

Quake
Duke Nukem
Halo
Quake 2
Ghost Recon (The first one)
Rainbow Six (The First One)

This. Except I grew up with PCs instead of Playstations.
Halo is an American thing, isn't it ? I mean, I have yet to meet an European fan of the series, and I don't know anyone personally that would say the game was great. Most either didn't play it, like ever, or tried and considered it pretty "meh".

What's so special about Halo ? I've been wondering that for years and still don't know.
