after months of refusing to spend the money, i finally caved and bought overwatch today. spent probably a good 4 hours playing online with one of my friends and i definitely feel it was money well spent. i haven't played a shooter in a very long time but it's such a great change of pace from the recycled military FPS games that clog up the multiplayer game market. obviously the tf2 comparisons are there, but the game still has a unique identity that keeps it fun and i'm looking forward to hammering some hours into it in the future.
it's hella ****ing annoying playing in online matches when you get stuck with a selfish team though. nothing like playing with a full team with no tanks or healers.

seems like most traffic (at least based on the YouTube vids I've watched) is on PC. i'm on xbox unfortunately.
i jumped around quite a bit, it's kind of overwhelming at first because it feels like there's so much to learn. i really got on with Junkrat and Roadhog right out of the gate, McCree was pretty cool as well but i rarely if ever played with an offensive hero since that seems to be what everyone else wants to do. i want to have at least one hero for every class that i feel comfortable as, that way i can kind of switch around depending on the game and what the team needs.

Stardew Valley I've had this game for a long time, and up until yesterday, I didn't really see the draw or why this game was so good. I played for a few hours straight yesterday and now I can definitely see the appeal. I used to play Harvest Moon when I was younger, and this game certainly fills that need for farm management and whatever else. It's got a lot of depth for it being made and managed by one person. Certainly worth picking up if you want a nice relaxing alternative to Harvest Moon. |

Heals: Ana - Her kit is just insanely strong. Long range strong heals, a sleep, insane ult, anti-heal on enemies DPS: Soldier 76 - Hitscan and insane damage. Also, a solid Pharah counter. Symmetra - Great when defending and her damage is insane when she's charged. Also brings amazing utility. Reaper - Anti-tank, flanker. He hits like a truck and can be sneaky. Tracer - Flanker, squishy, but super mobile. I'm terrible with her, but a good tracer can wreak havoc on the backline all game. Tank: Reinhardt - Just a solid kit, and staple tank that helps to push or hold points. Zarya - Crazy damage with high energy, amazing shield, and her ult combos well with others. DVA - Amazing ult. Good Damage, her secondary hard counters a lot of great ults.

Even though I don't like fps games, I want to get the new Resident Evil. I saw some gameplay for it and I'm all on board now.
