I watched some of it on twitch. It was like GTA with FF characters (not even baseball cap, tshirt, and jeans?).. Where's the magitek? Why the hell are they driving sports cars? It looked lame from a fanboi perspective.

That requires having a console. We don't have any, and I'm leery of buying one, lest I get hooked on gaming. It's a really easy slippery slope for me to fall down.

Nah bro. It is a much needed change of pace. They needed to bring it to the modern world a bit after Lightning's saga. I love it so far tbh.

Yes it feels like a FF game with wide open world map. They went off the whole linear path thing that was a huge part of FF13
