I've been watching it and it makes me sad my computer isn't good enough to play it.

Never heard of it before a few weeks ago but it sounds ****ing amazing: an FPS, open world, survival horror game set in and around Chernobyl. Like, the most amazing real life setting for a horror game ever? ****. Yes.

Never heard of it ?? SHAME!
I have 2 friends that treat this game almost religiously. This is some good **** right here, dark and demanding. And deadly. But oh so satisfying!
I love fallout but after a while, you're unstoppable. Here ? One false step and you're in deep sh*t.

Can't even check my PDA without having to pump buckshot into a pack of irradiated feral dogs.

Once you get out of this swamp you start in, the game picks up the pace a bit, you get more quests, more variety of enemies, weapons etc. What I'm trying to say - it starts of slow. Doesn't get too fast later on, but it gets very interesting. And if you survive long enough, you eventually be able to turn the tables and be the hunter, not the hunted

I love the dogs though. If it's just one or two of them they'll bark at you but not attack, and if you fire at them they run like bitches. Get four or five of them together though and they get brave. Really cool AI design.

Damn, now I should look into getting S.T.A.L.K.E.R. If it's as difficult as people say, I'd have a really fun time.

Like Yac said, it starts off pretty slow. I'm about an hour into it, haven't done any side quests, and yet I haven't really been out of the starting area or seen any of Chernobyl. So it's hard to judge the game at this point, but I'm definitely seeing a lot of potential. Just remember that it's an older game that I imagine didn't have a massive budget, so it's not gonna have Fallout's production values.

If it's anything like Fallout 3 (which also hasn't aged too well) i'll love the heck out of it. Fallout 4 was way too polished and nice looking.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl

Jesus ****ing Christ this game is hard. I decided on the first mission that I would go in by myself because **** help, and I paid for it. I got my ass handed to me several times before I beat it, and that's just the first god damn mission. The game is obviously aged, but it controls very well for a game made in 2007. I can see the potential here, and I'm looking forward to playing more.
