Darkest Dungeon
Holy **** this game is good. I remember a while back, Pete posted about it and I was going to get it but forgot. I picked it up last weekend and put about 3 hours into it. This game is simply fantastic for all the right reasons. It's difficulty is on par with Dark Souls and the overall game play works really well for a side scroller. It's also a dungeon crawler which just adds to the beauty of the game, and mix that with the dark Gothic art style, it's definitely a very well made game. Expect a journal entry on this game sometime this week. And pick it up if you haven't already. |

They put one of my my favourite games up for free download on the android underground store... KOTOR. I have been playing that when I'm not home. If they ever put the original Star Wars Battlefronts on there I would be ecstatic. When I am home I usually play Minecraft though.

OMG why do I do this to myself?! I've now played several of the supposed "scariest games ever", like System Shock 2 and Condemned: Criminal Origins, and while I am not yet all that far into those games, none of them yet invoke the feeling of having to almost physically force myself just to move down a simple corridor the way Alien: Isolation does.
I don't know if it's the scariest game I will ever play, but if it's not then I don't want to play any of those games. I just launched the game, and as it was loading I noticed that I was breathing hard for no apparent reason, and I couldn't stop. This game has trained my subconscious to be so stressed by playing it that my heart can't even take a loading screen. **** this ****ing game and **** me for being a masochist. Thank god I'm drunk.

This game has so ****ed me up that making it through two saves with only two deaths feels like the greatest achievement in the world, and I will gladly quit and pick it up only when I am drunk enough (again) to muster up the courage to play again. I died within ten seconds of my last save, so I was convinced that I would have to go back to my last one, which would have set me back quite a ways, but apparently I just got unlucky and my new save is relatively safe, so I will preserve my sanity and go do something, anything, else.
If I ever beat this game I may very well break into tears. It seriously bums me out that my computer does not have enough power to record this game while I'm playing it, or else I imagine that it would be some prime Youtube foder. I might not scream like some Youtubers, but my constant, wide-eyed stare, heavy breathing, and physical shaking every time I realize that the alien has just touched down on the ground while I am trying to make my way to the next objective seems far more interesting than Pewdiepie fake screaming in Swedish.

God damn it. I was just playing Slender: The Eight Pages for a Let's Play video (cause obviously no Youtuber has ever played the game), and I assumed that it would be the game to reduce me to tears for all of you to see. At first it made me quite tense, mostly due to its reputation and what I had seen of other Youtubers playing it, but after ten minutes all that wore off and I was just left playing a game that merely made me mildly nervous. As big of a pussy as I am for horror games I assumed that this would be a home run, but apparently I have one or two more testicles than I thought.
I'd upload the video I made, but halfway through FPS issues make it kind of ****, and since it's so anticlimactic (when my flashlight goes out I just kind of wander around waiting for Slenderman to jump me, since just standing there would be cheap, and I disinterestedly say as much) that I honestly felt that it wasn't worth watching and deleted it. The first five minutes were alright, I guess, since I'm still terrified and expecting it to be what it isn't, but other than that the video is actually kind of boring. Total disappointment.

That is indeed a pretty sweet game to watch, but StarCraft is the ultimate eSport.
