Ok both you and Pete have talked me into it.

You just gave me the urge to steal Pokemon: Platinum off the internet. Just started a new game.

I'm still playing the hell out of MGSV...I almost freaked when I thought the game was over after Chapter 1, considering almost nothing got answered in that chapter. When it started with the preview of Chapter 2, I calmed down a bit. I love the 80's action movie theme he's got going throughout the game.

When I need a break from the espionage I've been playing Super Meat Boy...what an addictive game.

I'd say play Dark Souls II first because it explains a lot more of the games' mechanics than Dark Souls did.

I remember you some time ago stating how much you love MGS in general as do I. Despite the usual overblown cinematic sequences and expected over the top storyline I've not played MGSV as I'm saving it for when I get my PS4 in the coming weeks, despite knowing that the game is heavily criticized.

I checked out Super Beat Boy and that is a definite for me as well, as I'm a lover of old school platformers

If I see Dark Souls I cheap I'll buy it, if not I just might do as you suggest and start with Dark Souls II.

Super Meat Boy is ace. Has a great soundtrack too. I played it on XB360 a few years back but am not sure I have the patience to play it again on PS4 as it's extremely difficult and very unforgiving.

Other than PC it seems really hard to find on sale for consoles.

It's currently free on PS4 providing you're a PS Plus subscriber and will be for another week or so.
