Did you end up getting a Playstation 4 yet and if so your impressions? As I'm thinking of getting one in the next few weeks, even though I haven't completely ruled out an Xbox One yet.

I did and I've been enjoying it, although I've been super busy with university that I haven't had much time to play any games, and when I do it's usually short bursts of Payday 2 or Dark Souls II on my PC. Right now I only have The Last of Us Remastered but it's definitely an improvement on the PS3 version both in performance and visuals, although it must be commended what Naughty Dog was able to do on on the PS3 hardware. I've decided that I'm going to wait until Black Friday (US holiday celebrating rampant consumerism) to get Bloodborne and probably pick up Until Dawn come Christmas. The only hiccups I've had so far has been this weird static noise/ fuzzy screen thing but that went away after a minute or so and hasn't come back. Oh, and there's also been this recurring issue with sound where I have to turn off my TV and then turn it back on to get my sound working, but I think that's a TV/HDMI issue rather than a console issue. If you're on the fence about it, I'd still recommend the PS4 over the Xbox One, but either way I'd say wait a few weeks because there's going to be a price drop.

Just bought Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga for less than $2 at a thrift store, and of course it won't run on Windows 10. Now begins the tedious process of either getting it to work or using a virtual machine.

And I haven't tried using a virtual machine yet, but it's basically just a way to install an old OS onto a separate partition on your hard drive. It's apparently like having two computers in one.

Sometimes older programs just don't work on newer systems. If all else fails though, there's still the virtual machine option. Don't know if that's a viable solution, but who knows?

Thank god I have never seen the alien in Alien: Isolation do this yet, but I now know a new level of terror...
