This seems to have done the trick. Very happy I took your advice on this because the game seems to run much better now. No crashes at all.

I'd recommend checking out the Fellout mod, it gets rid of that green tint and makes the world feel a little more atmospheric and bleak. You can also grab some texture updates that make the world a little easier on the eyes.

My other question and this is probably obvious. Does it matter if I play the game by opening it in Steam or the NMM? I want to be able to track my hours and stuff through Steam but when I go through NMM it doesn't recognize that I have it on Steam and so it doesn't track my hours etc. I assume the patch installs to the file that it pulls from Steam but I just wanted to be sure. I guess my question is, if I play the game through Steam, is the patch still active?

When you activate the mods through the NMM GUI they should load up regardless of if you launch the game through NMM or Steam. The only way this would change is if you were using a mod that required you to use a script extender, in which case you would need to use the script extender as the executable file rather than the game's .exe, however texture updates and an unofficial patch shouldn't require a script extender so you're ok.

Cool. I actually just launched it up through Steam after asking my question, checked the data files, and the patch looks to be in there and active so that's pretty nice. Again, very happy I got that sorted out because I really wanted to play this game again and now I can so it feels good.

Splatoon has been taking up all my gaming time recently.

Looks a bit rubbish in videos but, man, it's a lotta fun. Strange to play an online shooter where those with a rubbish aim aren't at a big disadvantage - not in Turf War mode anyway.

Zombi

As a game, this is fantastic, as a PC port it's abysmal. No graphics options, super low FOV, and some awful textures that do not do the game any favors. I ended up playing for 90 minutes and decided to test the new Steam Refund system, however if Ubisoft decides to show this game a little bit of love and fix the problems with the port I'll be more than happy to give it another go because as a survival-horror game with roguelike elements it's unmatched.

Right now it's just pending, so it will probably come back to me by tomorrow. It's a shame though because the game has a lot of potential to be good, but I just can't abide a shit port, especially with Shadowrun: Hong Kong coming out tomorrow.
