Is it like Pillars of Eternity?

Hmm, in a way. It has I think more text and atmospheric descriptions of the places you visit, however it's strictly turn based (no active pause), has no character quests (you create the whole team at the start), is more a sandbox than a set of locations. And it's significantly less pretty. But the story is solid, quests are interesting and combat challenging. It's very old school but without a clunky interface and graphics/stability issues.
One tip I have is don't play this in full hd - the game won't get any prettier but the text gets so small it becomes a problem -and there is quite a bit of reading.

I know the feeling. I did not think much of sports games until my roommate at school played Madden and NBA2K a lot.

Earthbound Beginnings (/Mother 1) is grindy as all hell, but damn if it isn't endearing in its own cutesy, offputting way. The music is lovely, and the enemies are creative and entertaining. I'll not say anything about the plot, cuz I'm just now getting Lloyd, but I've it's one of the game's stronger aspects.I do wish there was a bit more explicit direction as to where I'm supposed to go, since the random encounter rate seems so high and I dont want to waste time, but the game's charm keeps me from being mad at it for too long.

Oh my god this game is fan-****ing-tastic. I'm a humongous fan of rogue-like esque games, and this game mixes that up with bullet hell shooter / top down perspective. It all works really well, and with a killer soundtrack, this game is pretty much right down my alley. It's in early access at the moment, but it really doesn't feel like it. It runs smoothly, the character selection is very interesting, and the game on it's own and amazingly fun. Very happy I picked this up.

If i remember well i think once you overpower the monsters around the battles are skipped and you get the exp so at least you don't have to fight weaklings.

I should play Earthbound again, i played it briefly awhile back but i never got too far.

Playing the first Walking Dead game and have to say that the reviews were correct, this is an amazing experience.

The depth of the story, the characters, the locations are all superb but best of all the decisions that you have to make are some of the toughest I've ever faced in a videogame. The events of the game start slightly earlier than the comic and the TV series, in fact some of the characters from those feature here briefly.

Anybody not familiar with the game, needs to know that this is a not a normal survival horror game but a point and click adventure style survival horror and strangely enough this adds a different dimension and challenge to the whole thing and is tense and creepy in its one way. Largely because a number of the decisions that you have to make are timed and really do make a difference in what you chose.

The game is split into 6 episodes each around 2 hours each, the first episode is the weakest one as it's kind of bitty but from episode 2 the story goes into hyperdrive and is certainly superior storywise than the TV series and is gripping as there are so many twists and turns.

My version of the game has a big problem and that is game lag which will stop some people playing it, it's a problem I found out after buying the game that affects the disk version of the game whether it be 360, play or PC, apparently though there is not problem if gotten via download. The lag mostly occurs in the action scenes and is terrible at times and initially can ruin the game, but if you can overcome this and focus on the story it becomes a minor issue in the end and something that you just end up dealing with. The internet is full of complaints where people have gotten the disk version of the game.

I can't get over how good The Witcher 3 is. I think I've logged well over 100 hours into it now, and I'm just going through the main quest at a snail's pace (sorry, Ciri). I've taken a peak at how far I am in the main story in a non-spoilerish way, and apparently I'm still on Act I lol. It's just absurd how many things you can do in this game, and how well-crafted it all is.

So, I'll finally get to play Resident Evil - Director's Cut - The Remake, on PlayStation 3, and/or 4?...... awesome.....

World of Warships!
It is really very fun, only got into open beta on friday. Compared to other "world of .." games, the gameplay itself is very different but everything else is significantly improved. The interface, the way missions, crew skills, equipment etc work - as a WoT veteran I can appreciate how much they learned about it and how well it's all made.
Also, the game looks great and believe me, there are few things as satisfying in gaming as sinking a battleship with a well aimed broadside ;)
WoWs. Get it and try it - it's free.
And here's a short in engine trailer, somewhat misleading because the game is by far not as silly as it might suggest- but it's exactly as pretty.
