As someone who is completely new to the series (I somehow had never even heard of The Witcher series before I heard of The Witcher 3), I was honestly confused at the start, and it forced me to read up on the backstory to get the full experience.

The basic main story of The Witcher 3 in particular is easy to follow, and you don't need to know anything about the previous games to follow along with it, but the game just throws a ton of backstory at you as well (referencing different names and political intrigue mostly) that I had absolutely no context for. There are characters that show up that Geralt knows from previous games as well (even outside of the ones originally listed in the glossary), where Geralt just launches into conversations with them without you knowing what's going on.

Luckily, the glossaries they have are extremely detailed and update frequently with both new characters and new info on existing characters, depending on what you do in the story.

This game is an absolute behemoth though. It's very impressive. Like, all of the side quests I've done feel unique and worthwhile, and the way the story branches off in multiple different ways even within the same quest is awesome. The attention to detail for character development is quite noticeable as well.

I'm ~25 hours in and haven't even remotely scratched the surface of this game yet. I spent a ton of time in the tutorial area, and have only really done main quest stuff in the first major town you come across, only taking the odd side quest around that area. I just traveled to the first main city for the purposes of the main story, which was even more impressive. Meanwhile the game is just dropping little nuggets of intrigue by having characters just reference different things like the main city in the game, and a legendary monster on the islands way out to the West that I'd have to kill to get a certain set of armor (which I'm nowhere near the recommended level for yet). The sense of scale is really something.

Rift

So, i've been getting back into MMO's, and one game I was always curious about was Rift. I recently started playing this game and I gotta say, i'm having a lot of fun. Definitely a lot more fun than I was having with The Old Republic, and WoW. This one just feels different but still uses the traditional MMO formula. It adds a lot of immersive gameplay, and all the quests feel different. They also give you cool looking armor at low levels so you don't feel like you're being forced to get to a higher level to get the "cool looking" armor. I've already clocked in 11 hours according to Steam. I see this as a regular game to go back to for me.

ive heard that one was better than inquisition but idk what to expect ive never played a Dragon age game.

Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+

Holy ****, this is amazing. Take everything you have ever loved about Pac-Man and put it to the extremes. This game offers pretty much everything you know about the game, and adds so much extra punch that it's almost as if you're playing Pac-Man on drugs. I seriously just spent the last half hour playing this and ranking up points after points after points. It's got multiple types of gameplay, and it's just an all around fun game. Definitely a great addition to the Pac-Man franchise, and very happy I decided to pick it up.

In the game, if you get close to hitting a ghost, everything slows down and let's you attempt to escape. Either that, or you can use a bomb and blast them away.

Hey Ki, if you're in the mood for revisiting old-school games and arcade staples, Activision Anthology is a really fun collection. They really worked hard with the menus and the soundtrack to capture the atmosphere of the early 80s (the game takes place in someone's room, with a bunch of retro hardware scattered around, including a tape deck that blasts out Blondie, Missing Persons, Aha, etc.), and there's a fairly large amount of extra games and bonus content to unlock.
