Tell you the truth I've always enjoyed the side quests, sometimes more so than the main quest line. The problem/great thing about Skyrim is that the quest system is seemingly endless. After a while you scroll through your active quests and the list is a mile long. So you try to chip away at them a little - get rid of 4 to get 5 more.

Probably not, as with Skyrim you could make vastly different classes and create personal goals for yourself. The Witcher series has always been about branching paths that all lead towards similar ends. The first game was pretty clunky about how it was presented, but by the second game there are a few choices that you make early on that can vastly effect how chapters 2 and 3 play out. I'm not far enough in The Witcher 3 yet to confirm if this is the case now, but I have to imagine there's quite a lot of meat on the games bones.

As I write this, my home pc is downloading the gog.com version... Last time I was so hyped about a game .. I think it was civ 5 ;) Or witcher 2...
I also read a bit and it seems that even though I only havea gtx 660, with 8 gigs of ram and an i7 i should be able to play it without many issues on low/med and it will still look good.
Now the only remaining issue is to pick the language .... I think I'll stick to Polish, previous english versions were good but lacked the .. well, the finesse when it comes to swearing in Polish :D
finally, all of this is making me uber hyped for that Cyberpunk 2077 game CDProjekt is making... open world, create your own character cyberpunk rpg crafted with the same amount of love and attention to detail, it almost seems unreal :D

So long as you turn off the stupid hair physics thing you should be fine. Maybe try playing is borderless window mode too.

anyone know any good action beat-em-up style games for the DS? I'm bored with zelda and this kingdom hearts game I got.

With all this talk about Witcher 3, is it essential to play the previous games before playing it or can I just jump into Witcher 3?

I could be mistaken but I thought someone mentioned that it wasn't and you could just jump in.

Not really, but you will want to make a habit of reading all the journal entries about characters, places, things, and whatever else updates. It's not quite as bad as The Witcher 2 in that regard, where they're throwing out names like scoia'tael right off the bat, but things will become clearer along the way.
